Wild Cosmos shawl pattern by Ágnes Kutas.
Wild Cosmos is the perfect pattern to use up all the yarn you have in your skein. Unlike most patterns, it won't tell you how many repeats you should work, it will tell you how much yarn you should have used for the body of the shawl before moving on to the border. The border is also constructed in a way for you to be able to use up as much yarn as possible.
The yarn used to make the sample shawl was light fingering in weight. If you want a similar look, we suggest using a heavy lace to fingering weight. However, this pattern works with basically any yarn weight and any gauge, but the look and feel will be quite different, of course, if you use a DK weight for instance. The sample used 500 meters (550 yards) of yarn (one cake of Bilum Loli in Colour 03). You can use more or less depending on your desired size and your gauge. The pattern is written in a way so that you will be able to use up nearly all your yarn if that is what you want.
You can also buy this pattern and one cake of Bilum Loli (100% merino, 500m 100g) as a kit.
The pattern is printed and will be delivered by mail. With the enclosed coupon code you will also be able to download the digital version.
